When players ask whether a casino is legit, they usually mean three things. Who is behind it and under what licence? Does it actually pay, and how quickly? And are the games fair? A fourth question matters just as much for readers in Australia: do the rules let you open an account at all? This page takes them in that order, then scores Cloudbet openly so you can see how the verdict was reached.

It helps to know what the licence covers. Cloudbet is a combined casino and sportsbook that says it has over 2,000 slots and 3000+ casino games from studios such as Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, Hacksaw Gaming and Evolution, with live dealer tables, crash and arcade titles, and its own Originals. Accounts are crypto-only, and you can sign up with an email address, Apple, Telegram or a MetaMask wallet, with no identity check at registration.

Everything below comes from Cloudbet's own terms and help centre (the terms were last updated on 30 September 2026) and from the licence certificate Cloudbet links in its footer. Where Cloudbet does not publish a detail, the page says so rather than filling the gap. The people and the method are described on the about page.

Cloudbet Licence and Owner

cloudbet.com is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., a company registered at Abraham Mendez Chumaceiro Boulevard 03, Willemstad, Curaçao, company number 148526. The name appears in the header and footer of Cloudbet's terms, and it is also the name your bank or exchange sees when a crypto withdrawal arrives.

The company is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) under number OGL/2024/328/0599, issued under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance. You can check it yourself: the certificate page linked from Cloudbet's footer, hosted on the CGA certificate portal, states that cloudbet.com is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. and that the licence status is Active. Cloudbet's terms say the licence was issued on 27 May 2025, while the certificate gives 23 May 2025. The four-day gap does not change the number or the status.

A few older help articles still describe Cloudbet as regulated under "Curaçao eGaming", the name of the previous regime. That is leftover wording rather than a second licence: the current licence is the CGA one above.

The payments subsidiary

For some payment methods Cloudbet uses a wholly owned subsidiary, Solas Technologies Limited, based at 25 Voukourestiou Street, Limassol, Cyprus. Its role is payment processing only; it is not licensed to offer gambling. Seeing that name next to a payment is expected and is not a sign of a different casino.

Who is behind the brand

Cloudbet's site says it was founded in 2013 and names the operating company, but it does not name a founder or individual owners, so we do not either. It is the official sportsbook and casino partner of the Professional Fighters League, a multi-year deal announced on 14 January 2025, and the UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall became its brand ambassador in June 2026. Cloudbet is the only brand we found under this licence and company; the sister sites page explains what that does and does not prove.

How fairness is checked

All random number games carry a GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) certification of the random number generator evaluation. The certificate number and date are not published, and Cloudbet says it compares actual and theoretical return to player every quarter. The Cloudbet Originals, its own in-house games such as Mines, Plinko, Dice and Crash, work differently: each result comes from a server seed (shown first as a SHA3-256 hash), your client seed and a nonce, and a public calculator lets you recompute any outcome. The eight Originals added in September 2026 are listed at 98-99% return to player, and Blackjack at 99.4%.

Account security

Deposited funds are sent to offline cold storage, with only enough kept in the hot wallet for daily transactions. You can switch on authenticator-app 2FA in your profile, withdrawals need an email confirmation link, and a captcha check appears before some of them. Cloudbet also runs a bug bounty paid in USDT, with US$10,000 or more expected for serious findings. One warning from its help centre: Cloudbet has no mobile app, so any app or APK claiming to be Cloudbet is fake.

Cloudbet Withdrawal Time, Limits and Fees

Cloudbet's help centre states that most crypto withdrawals are processed instantly, but some can take up to 24 hours. Its terms (clause 7.5.11) say withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval, subject to any verification checks. On its home page Cloudbet claims that 90% of withdrawals take less than 2 minutes and that the average is under a minute. These are Cloudbet's published figures; we have not run our own timed withdrawals, so read them as claims, not guarantees.

The help centre names three reasons a payout can take longer: blockchain congestion, a short security review for a larger-than-usual withdrawal, and wallet maintenance. Speed also depends on your verification level, because the limits differ.

Swipe

Level 1 needs only a phone number. At that level you can deposit US$2,200 in total over the life of the account and withdraw up to US$2,200 a day, a limit that resets every 24 hours. Cloudbet's terms (21.1.5) require identity verification once cumulative deposits reach US$2,200. Level 2 means a photo ID, proof of address and a face check, and removes both caps, although very large withdrawals still get an extra review. Sending the documents does not lift the limits until Cloudbet approves them.

Verification is rejected for small, avoidable reasons. Your full name must match on the ID and the proof of address, the proof of address must be dated within the last 3 months, and mobile phone bills are not accepted.

Fees

Cloudbet adds no withdrawal fee. You pay the network fee for the coin you choose, which is listed on its crypto transaction fees page, and deposits carry no fee from Cloudbet either. For completeness, clause 7.1.10 of the terms reserves the right to apply a handling charge of up to 5%, so check the amount shown on the withdrawal screen before you confirm.

Crypto only

Withdrawals go to an external wallet or exchange address in crypto. Cloudbet has no AUD wallet and announced on 4 August 2026 that fiat deposits and withdrawals were being discontinued, fully off from 31 August 2026. Always copy the address from the destination wallet and match the network, because Cloudbet's help centre says funds sent on the wrong network are generally not recoverable.

Which coins you can use

The wallet supports 29 coins, among them BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC, SOL, XRP and DOGE. The deposit minimum is about US$1 in equivalent value, typically US$0.10 to US$0.50 for most coins, with the exact figure shown on the deposit screen; anything below it is not credited. The playthrough before a withdrawal

Separate from any bonus, Cloudbet asks you to wager part of what you deposit before you withdraw: 100% of deposits on an unverified account, 25% once you are verified at level 2. Only settled bets count, win or lose, and pending bets do not. As a clearly labelled example, if you deposit US$500, an unverified account needs US$500 of settled bets before withdrawing, while a verified one needs US$125.

What Changed in the Last 12 Months

A casino that is still shipping product and still publishing its rules is easier to trust than one that goes quiet. These are the dated changes from Cloudbet's newsroom and terms between October 2025 and October 2026.

1. 23 October 2025

   Cloudbet turned on Encrypted Client Hello, which hides which site you are visiting from your internet provider when it is paired with secure DNS.

2. 20 November 2025

   Cloudbet Academy launched, a set of free crypto betting courses with a reward code available after a first deposit of at least 10 USDT equivalent and standard verification.

3. 8 June 2026

   Tom Aspinall was announced as exclusive Cloudbet brand ambassador, picking UFC events and sharing content on Pulse, the site's social feed.

4. 15 July 2026

   Pulse gained tailing of other bettors' picks, credibility badges and leaderboards.

5. 4 August 2026

   Cloudbet announced that fiat deposits and withdrawals were being discontinued, with everything fully disabled on 31 August 2026 and balances to be withdrawn beforehand.

6. 9 September 2026

   The provably fair hub was rebuilt, and eight new Cloudbet Originals shipped that month with a minimum bet of US$0.01.

7. 30 September 2026

   The terms and conditions were updated. The restricted-country list now includes Japan and Turkey, which an earlier copy from 21 September 2026 did not show.

The pattern is steady product work plus one significant narrowing of the payment menu. The fiat change is the one that matters most for everyday use, and it is why the banking row above scores lowest.

What Players Most Often Run Into

Most complaints about crypto casinos are not about lost money but about a rule found too late. Cloudbet's help centre covers the same handful of topics again and again, which tells you where players get stuck. Each one is easy to avoid if you know about it before your first deposit.

One more pattern is worth knowing: if you cannot see a crypto deposit, wait at least 10 minutes, check the transaction on a blockchain explorer and contact support with the coin, network, deposit address and transaction ID. Two account rules also surprise people. Cloudbet prohibits more than one account per person, IP address, household or phone number, so do not register a second profile to start over. And an account with no activity for 12 months can be charged US$5 a month after notice, so withdraw your balance if you stop playing.

Who Cloudbet Will Not Suit

A legit casino is not automatically the right one. Cloudbet makes clear choices, and a few of them will be dealbreakers for some players.

You want an Australian dollar wallet. Cloudbet balances are crypto, across 29 supported coins. You can buy BTC, ETH or USDT with a card through the partner Swapped, which charges its own processing fee, but the result lands in your account as crypto, and the minimum for that route is higher than for a direct crypto deposit. If you prefer to pay in your own currency end to end, this is the wrong fit.

You want a phone line or an app. Support is live chat and email only, and there is no iOS or Android app, just a site Cloudbet describes as fully optimised for mobile.

You want a deposit match with free spins. The Welcome Package is up to US$2,500 in cash rewards over 30 days, made of rakeback, daily cash drops, a weekly sports cash drop and a final Cash Vault.
